Welcome to Chartwell Harbours

Retire in an independent and active retirement community with peaceful lake views.

Warm sunshine dances across the lake, creating a shimmer of winking diamonds. A soft breeze stirs the indigo patio umbrellas, while the distant call of gulls gliding through a clear Alberta sky completes the serene picture. This isn’t a luxury getaway—it’s everyday life at Chartwell Harbours.

Nestled in Coventry Hills, one of North Calgary’s most sought-after residential neighbourhoods, our retirement community offers the best of both worlds: tranquil lakeside living and convenient urban access. With nearby grocery stores, restaurants, fitness centres, and Deerfoot Trail just minutes away, you can maintain your independence with ease—all while enjoying the serenity of a quiet, close-knit community that feels like a retreat from the bustle of daily life.

Lakeside charm meets modern comfort and maritime elegance

Chartwell Harbours is designed to reflect its stunning natural surroundings. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll feel a sense of calm and comfort inspired by our lakeside setting. A soothing nautical colour palette of seashell white and crisp blues, accented by large windows framing peaceful water views, brings the outdoors in and gives our shared spaces a light, breezy feel.

Our independent living suites continue this serene theme with modern layouts, generous natural light, and thoughtful finishes. Select suites feature full kitchens, walk-out patios, and lake views—perfect for those who want a lifestyle rooted in both comfort and beauty.

Like living aboard a docked cruise ship—without leaving home

Life at Chartwell Harbours blends relaxation and engagement, with services and experiences designed around your preferences. From chef-prepared meals served tableside in our elegant, lakeview dining room to enjoying lunch under a shaded umbrella in the courtyard, dining here is a daily pleasure. Here, your days can be as vibrant or peaceful as you wish. Join a fitness class, sip a cocktail during Happy Hour in the pub, take part in recreation activities and outings, or enjoy a moment of quiet reflection in our chapel or library.
