Things to do in Chilliwack

Chilliwack is a beautiful city in the Fraser Valley surrounded by mountains and scenic recreational areas, well-situated near Vancouver. It’s a wonderful place to call home, not only because of the gorgeous mountain views and associated parks – Bridal Veil Falls, Chilliwack Lake and Cultus Lake Provincial Parks, and Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve – but the many new shops and restaurants to explore in the revitalized downtown. If you’re moving to a Chilliwack seniors’ residence, there are many cultural attractions nearby, including the Chilliwack Cultural Centre, local art galleries, and the province’s second largest independent bookstore, The Book Man. Don’t forget popular annual events, such as the Chilliwack Tulip Festival and the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival. You can also take in a variety of agricultural attractions by picking your own juicy blueberries at Klaassen Farms, wandering through the corn maze and pumpkin patch at Fantasy Farms, and eating ribs, enjoying live country music, and picking up fresh garlic at the annual garlic festival.
