Chartwell Heritage Valley offers a variety of retirement lifestyles, as well as funded and non-funded care options, catering to seniors with a wide range of needs, preferences, and abilities. We also offer independent living, Private Supportive Living, Continuing Care Home Type B (assisted living) and memory care (Continuing Care Home Type B Secure Space). Our Retirement Living Consultant would be pleased to walk you through each of these options and which would be best suited to you or a loved one.

    Care Services available

    Our independent living lifestyle gives you a variety of service options that can make each day convenient, relaxing, and enjoyable. If you want to chat with friends over dinner and take a night off from cooking and doing dishes, join us for a tasty and nutritious meal served by friendly staff in our dining room. Don’t want to spend time and energy keeping your suite and clothing spotless? Lighten the load with our housekeeping and personal laundry services. Do you want to invite friends or family for lunch or dinner for a special occasion? Have a catered meal arranged in our private dining room. For your peace of mind, we also have staff on site 24-7, a security system, and emergency response at night too.

    Your health and wellness matter to us—that’s why we offer many valuable services and easy access to visiting professionals. These include foot care, a visiting physician, and companionship services.

  • Private Supportive Living

    Want to benefit from an independent lifestyle that offers 24/7 on-site staff support and flexible care services, such as assistance with your morning or evening routine, medication management, and access to an on-site nurse and robust team of visiting health care professionals? Then Private Supportive Living—a funded care option through Alberta Health Services—may be the right fit for you.

    To qualify for Private Supportive Living, an Alberta Health Services Case Manager completes an assessment and authorizes and funds care services for you at our retirement residence. Care and services are exclusively provided by Chartwell staff. Additional care and services (scheduled or unscheduled) may be available and provided at an additional fee.

  • Assisted living (Continuing Care Home Type B)

    Our retirement residence also offers Continuing Care Home Type B services for seniors in need of 24-hour assisted living services. This subsidized lifestyle option through Alberta Health Services is ideal for you or a loved one if you need significant help with your daily routine and customized services that can help maintain or improve your comfort and quality of life.

    Care services may include medication management, assistance with activities of daily living, bathing and showering assistance, an escort to meals and activities, access to an on-site nurse, and so much more. Together, we will partner to build your individual care plan that meets your specific needs 24 hours a day.

    To qualify, an Alberta Health Services Case Manager completes an assessment and authorizes and funds care services for you or a loved one at our retirement residence. Care and services are exclusively provided by Chartwell staff. Additional care and services (scheduled or unscheduled) may be available and provided at an additional fee.

    Another funded option our retirement residence offers is memory care (Continuing Care Home Type B Secure Space) for seniors living with dementia or cognitive impairment. Our compassionate and friendly staff are trained in dementia support to help our residents live each day in contentment and comfort. We offer a variety of valuable services to support our residents living with dementia, including cueing and assistance with daily routines, bathing and showering assistance, an escort to meals and activities, and so much more.

    To qualify, an Alberta Health Services Case Manager completes an assessment, authorizes and schedules care for your loved one at our retirement residence. Care and services are exclusively provided by Chartwell staff. Additional care and services (scheduled or unscheduled) may be available and provided at an additional fee.
